Woy Woy is a coastal town, 90 km north of Sydney and 10 km south of
Gosford. It's a popular holiday and long weekend destination, with wonderful fishing, boating, sailing and family beach locations.
The words 'Woy Woy' mean deep water, in the local Aboriginal language - and it is one of the oldest settled towns in the region. While it remained a fishing village until the post WWII population boom - the township is now a major port of call on the Central Coast.
Satellite villages include Umina, Ocean Beach,
Ettalong, secluded Pearl Beach and Patonga. Nearby Brisbane Waters National Park and Bouddi National Park are excellent for bushwalking and quiet beach retreats
Spike Milligan, one the famous 'Goons' is a the favoured international son of Woy Woy and while he didn't ever live there, he often visited his long-resident mother.

Bouddi National Park - fishing, bushwalks, swimming, and wreck of the PSMaitlandat Maitland Bay.
Australian Reptile & Wildlife Sanctuary - for crocodiles, snakes, koalas and lots of reptiles. 9 to 5 daily Somersby 23 km NW
